Note: These notes were compiled after the release from the documentation updates that came with it, so they're grouped by product area rather than by rollout date.
Unapprove change orders. Approved change requests and subcontract change requests can be reversed, or edited and re-approved in one step.
Period-locked revenue recognition (Opt-in). The Revenue Recognition tool can align its dates to accounting periods and block journals dated in closed periods.
Redesigned Contract screen. Lines are grouped by sales order, with saved views and Excel export.
French language support. BlueCollar screens and AIA documents are available in French.
Integration APIs. External systems can approve, reject and unapprove change orders.
Unapprove an approved change order. An Unapprove button on approved change requests rolls the contract lines and budget items back to their earlier values and returns the change request to Pending Approval. This works even after invoices have been billed against the lines: invoiced contract lines are kept and their approved values are zeroed. See Unapproving an Approved Change Order.
Edit an approved change order in one step. Correcting an approved change order unapproves it, applies your updates and re-approves it as a single operation, so it's never left half-applied.
Unapprove subcontract change requests. The purchase order is restored to its earlier state, and lines the change request added are removed. See Subcontract Change Orders.
Line number checks. A line number that already exists on the contract, or elsewhere on the same change request, is rejected when you save. See Contract Change Orders.
Zero-dollar and zero-quantity lines. Deliberate zero-quantity dollar adjustments and $0 lines are supported through save and approval.
Easier subcontract change requests. After you pick a vendor, the Related Subcontract list shows only that vendor's purchase orders. The item picker includes For Resale items, long descriptions truncate with a tooltip, and the Add New Line window can be moved and resized.
Period-locked revenue recognition (Opt-in). With Enable (Period-Locked) Revenue Recognition on, the Through Date snaps to the end of the accounting period. The journal date can be edited before posting, and dates in closed periods are rejected before any journals are created. See The Revenue Recognition Tool.
Over/Under Billing formula. Over/Under Billing is calculated as Earned Revenue − (Billed to Date − Unbilled Retentions), so retention your customer is holding is treated correctly. See Revenue Recognition.
Active Status on the WIP Report. A new column labels each project Active or Inactive, and a matching filter narrows the grid. See WIP Report.
Redesigned Contract screen. The project's Contract tab groups lines under each sales order, with subtotals, a grand total and Collapse All / Expand All. A sales order filter narrows the grid to the contracts you're working on. See The Contract Screen.
Saved views and Excel export. Arrange columns, save the layout as a named view and export the grid to Excel.
Easier to scroll. Leading columns and the header stay in place. Editable projection cells are shaded, and Change in Amount values link to the change orders behind them.
Projections start automatically. When a sales order is saved as a contract, its projected values are filled in from the Current Contract, so revenue recognition can begin right away. The separate approval step for initial projections has been removed. See Contract Projections.
Ready-made saved views. The Billing screen's view dropdown includes a set of built-in views. Use them as-is or as a starting point for your own. See Fixed Fee, Unit Price & AIA Billing.
Drill into hours and units. Actual Hours and Actual Units link to the records behind them at every level: line, division and project. See Cost Drilldown.
Drilldowns follow your period filter. When the budget is filtered to specific accounting periods, the drilldown lists show the same periods.
Cost Code Detail. Link cost codes to the matching contract (SOV) lines in a movable, resizable window.
Pinned column headers. Column headers stay visible as you scroll a long budget.
Five-decimal quantities. Quantity cells accept up to five decimal places, so very small unit quantities on large unit-rate lines bill at their exact value. See Subcontract Management.
French language support. Budget, Contract, Billing, WIP, Revenue Recognition, Subcontracts, Scheduling, Work Performed and T&M Billing display in French. G702 and G703 documents are available in French (Canada). Each user's language follows their NetSuite language preference, with no BlueCollar setup needed. See Setup and Initial Configuration.
Role-level segment restrictions in reporting. The WIP Report, the Revenue Recognition tool and the Project Analytics dashboard honor the Department, Class and Location restrictions on a user's NetSuite role. See Global Permissions.
Change Order and Subcontract Change Order approval APIs. External approval portals and workflow tools can approve, reject and unapprove change requests, and run the same validation as the BlueCollar screens. See Integration APIs.
